Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a ministry that comes alongside single parents*, widows*, senior citizens* and those struggling to make ends meet* in an effort to meet practical needs.

Every three months we host a workday where volunteers come together to complete basic home repair and maintenance items. To start the process and see if you may qualify for services click here. The next work is not yet scheduled. If you still have questions after you have submitted your form, please contact Scott Tyson by email.

Twice a year we host a car care day. This service has no cost to qualified individuals. Services include an oil change, car wash, and interior vacuuming. For more information on the next car care day contact Nancy Rapp by email or at 209.634.4935 x317.

* priority will be given to members and regular attenders of Monte Vista Chapel.

Can You Help?

Volunteer to use your unique God-given abilities to minister to others in need.

Helping Hands is a ministry that was formed to help care for the practical needs of the church body, primarily single parents, low-income, and the elderly. Our vision is to develop a community of believers committed to love God with our whole being and others as ourselves.

How does it work? Needs are identified. The need is reviewed to make sure the job can be done. Then the need is matched up with helping hands team members who will go out and complete the job.

What kind of jobs will Helping Hands do? Helping Hands will take on small jobs that can be completed by a team of volunteers in one day. Leaking faucets, painting, weeds, consulting regarding a problem, etc.

How can you help? Join a growing group of volunteers that have a heart to serve God by serving others. Each volunteer will have different skills and areas that they are interested in. The areas of service are as follows:

Home Repair   Automotive Yard work
Electrical Moving   Painting
Heating and Air Conditioning  Plumbing  Appliance Repair
Legal Consulting  Dental Care   Veterinary services
Medical Physician Services  Eye Care   Financial Consulting
General Construction
