Modesto, CA

Where did you go to school?
Hilmar, Turlock Christian, CSUS, Point Loma Nazarene College, Modesto Junior College, and Chapman University(all four to complete my B.A.) and Covenant Theological Seminary.

For better or for worse, who knows you best?
My family including my girls Claire, Maise, and Kaye, sister Megan and my brother-in-law Jonathan, father Roger and the Strickler family(adopted family). They have seen it all and love me still.

Your favorite way to spend a day?
Start the day with coffee and good conversation, some home project and finished off with a good meal with family!

Julia Child's in your kitchen...what's your request?
My mom and grandma would be present . They have both passed and were amazing cooks who loved Julia Child. We would scrap the recipe for dinner and cook intuitively out of the fridge. I'd have Julia prepare a chocolare souffle for dessert.

What do you love to do here at MVC?
I love to connect deeply with people of all ages. Nurturing the souls of others is a great passion of mine. I desire that all know deeply God's love.

What's on Your iPod?
Whatever my girls have downloaded. On my own downloaded J.J. Heller and some obscure folk. Most recently I am enjoying the Fernando Ortega station on Pandora.

What movie can you watch over and over and over?
Any Christmas movie especially Elf.

Favorite Childhood memory?
Going to visit my grandma and grandpa's house in Modesto weekly. My grandfather was in the Navy and my gradmother was an artist. From their travels my grandmother created a beautiful home with interesting nooks and crannies. I never traveled as a child, but I was exposed to the world through their home.

Your Favorite Books?
I'm going to go with authors: Laura Ingalls Wilder, Francine Rivers, Dan Allender.

If you had a Superhero Power it Would Be...?
Replicating myself so I can be in all the places I want to be!

Toilet paper... Over or under?
I'd be happy with on the holder.
