Meet Bradley Smith

In what city did you make your formal debut?
I was brought home from the hospital to Ripon, California

Where did you go to school?
I went to Modesto high for High School, Prairie Bible college in Canada for my first degree, and Stan State for my second, and the school of hard knocks for all of it.

For better or for worse, who knows you best?
My Wife knows intimately the last six years, My brothers the early part of my life, and in between were the snows of Canada.

Your favorite way to spend a day?
Recently I went for a bike ride along the river with my Toddler in a baby seat behind me, and my wife riding alongside. I also love hiking around in the redwoods along the northern coast, or playing on the beach in Santa Cruz, and not much beats going to a Giants game.

Julia Child’s in your kitchen….what’s your request?
Braised lamb, or roast lamb shanks, but with a chef like that I wouldn’t be picky.

Speaking of dinner, if you could share a meal with anyone, dead or alive… who would it be?
Jesus is probably the easy answer, but I’d like the hear the tale that Enoch and Elijah could tell. If I could have a weekend, I’d go all Js, inviting Job, Jonah and John the Baptist- John the apostle would be nice too. But in reality I think I would truly want some of the people I will never see again in this life like my dad, and my friend Janase.

Favorite Childhood memory?
There are so many, all revolving around friends, family and the river. I grew up in Ripon when life for a boy revolved around the river.

How would you spend a Million Dollars…?
I can’t even fathom a million dollars, but I would feel easier about paying off my student loans, and I would probably go to more than one Giants game a year.

What’s Your Guilty Pleasure?
Anymore it’s reading, playing a video game, or watching a sporting event. It used to be playing sports of all kinds, but that was before a lack of time and energy put that on the back burner. Oh, I also like going to movies on my own.

People tell you “You’re a dead ringer for….”?
My Father or my brothers.
